Midwifery Review Board

Idaho Midwifery Council's Midwifery Review Board offers an accountability process to handle complaints or concerns via mediation rather than litigation. Formal complaints between any midwife, certified or non-certified, and a consumer, client, or other health care professional may be brought before the board for a fair hearing. The intent is not to sit in judgment or to issue punishment, but rather to enhance communication, knowledge, skills accountability, and credibility within the midwifery community.

The MRB is composed of four Licensed Midwives (LM's) in good standing and currently practicing in Idaho. Any MRB board member can assist with filing a complaint or concern regarding midwifery care. To start the process, send an email or letter with your name and your concerns to one of the board members listed below.
